Participants are invited to adopt a simple yet effective rule: to engage in at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day for 30 days. In 2025, the challenge will take place from November 1 to 30.
During this time, the city transforms: hundreds of free outdoor events occur across various locations in Dubai — from yoga and group workouts to runs, tournaments, and stand-up paddleboarding.
The Dubai Fitness Challenge is no longer just a challenge; it has become a true citywide movement. In 2024, it brought together a record 2.7 million people, and in 2025, the organisers promise to make the event even more grand and impressive.
What awaits participants in 2025
- ‘Dubai Ride’ is a vibrant cycling tournament for all cycling enthusiasts. During the Dubai Fitness Challenge, Sheikh Zayed Road transforms into a giant cycling path.
- ‘Dubai Run’ is a city marathon that attracts thousands of runners, offering the chance to run past iconic landmarks.
- ‘Dubai Stand Up Paddle’ features picturesque paddleboarding sessions among the mountains at Hatta Reservoir.
- ‘Dubai Yoga’ — a new addition for 2025, invites participants to practice yoga against stunning backdrops.
Fitness villages
One of the most striking features of the DFC is the themed fitness villages. They will open in various corners of the city, such as at Kite Beach, Zabeel Park, and Al Warqa parks. Throughout the challenge, free workouts, masterclasses, and family activities will be held under the guidance of experienced trainers and experts.

Numerous fitness centres in Dubai also support the initiative. In honour of the fitness season, they will expand their programmes, offering DFC participants unique events and workouts, becoming another accessible venue for maintaining an active lifestyle.
Since 2017, the Dubai Fitness Challenge initiative has gained support not only from government institutions and city residents but also from the business community. Companies in Dubai actively participate in the city challenge, motivating and encouraging their employees to join the events. The Stayf team fully shares the values of the DFC and supports this important initiative. Throughout the year, we create opportunities for participation in challenges through our app, developing virtual team activities.
- The Coca-Cola "Christmas Caravan" is a large-scale corporate volunteer project supporting people with mental, sensory, and physical disabilities. The results are inspiring: Coca-Cola donated $32,000 to the development of inclusive sports as part of the Special Olympics. We recorded high engagement in the project: 57% of participants actively logged their activities, shared results, and communicated on Stayf.

- The "Moon Flight" challenge saw employees collectively "accumulate" 384,500 charges, symbolising the distance to the Moon. Flexible participation conditions: activities were logged both manually and through integration with Google Fit and Apple Health. Motivation was maintained through weekly tasks, leaderboards, and a live chat for communication.

- Partnership with FIFA – during the 2022 World Cup, Visa launched a global challenge in which employees virtually "ran" the distance from the headquarters in San Francisco to Doha. The program brought together over 600 employees and partner banks from the Middle East and Africa, strengthening corporate culture. Together with Saatchi & Saatchi, a branded Stayf app was developed, ensuring high engagement and helping participants feel part of a larger team.
